My mom was visiting Gainesville with me and we decided to check this place out. Coming here before the start of the spring semester at UF, it wasn't super busy, except for some locals. Located in midtown, Tup Tim Thai serves a variety of asian cuisine ranging from Thai food, to Chinese dishes, to sushi. They have just about everything to satisfy any hankerings for asian food! Being in midtown, parking could be tricky, so be mindful of that. The interior is really nice with lots of asian decorations. We really appreciated the overall vibe and feel of the eatery. The staff is super friendly, efficient, and accommodating. They were clearly short staffed that night, but our server did an excellent job serving us and keeping up with the other customers as well. She was the sweetest and I couldn't compliment her enough! I must note that the prices are excellent as well, especially considering the size of the portions. We ended up ordering the Tup Tim sampler, chicken lettuce wraps, and mixed seafood pad Thai to share. The Tup Tim sampler included 2 spring rolls, 2 Tuptim rolls, 2 crab Rangoons, 2 steamed dumplings, 2 potstickers, and calamari, served with a variety of sauces. This appetizer was amazing! We were able to try all of the different rolls they offered on the menu by ordering this. And honestly, they were all very, very good. They were fried to perfection, filled with copious amounts of meats/fillings, and had tons of flavor. We both appreciated the dumplings and Tuptim rolls, finding the meat inside to be quite tasty! This is a really great option to sample a variety of the appetizer menu, would highly recommend. The chicken lettuce wraps were good, but not as good as the other things we ordered. The appetizer includes ground chicken, served in a bowl with a a variety of seasoning, garlic, and a savory, thick sauce. Accompanied by a wedge of iceberg lettuce and crispy noodles. You are meant to break pieces of the lettuce off and fill it with the chicken and the fried, crispy noodles. The chicken had more of liquid, soupy constancy, making it hard to fill the lattice wraps with. While difficult to eat, it was still very savory. The chicken had wonderful flavor. For the entree, we split the pad Thai, opting for the mixed seafood as our protein. The pad Thai was to die for! It was your traditional pad Thai consisting of stir fried rice noodles with egg, scallion, bean sprouts, and ground peanuts. The mixed seafood was a great option as it include squid, mussels, scallops, and shrimp. The noodles were cooked to perfection and were beyond flavorful. The seafood was cooked just right and wasn't overcooked. You could really taste the freshness in the ingredients they used, especially the scallions. We were blown away with how good this dish was, would highly recommend! Overall, Tup Tim Thai is a wonderful asian restaurant located in the heart of midtown. I was very impressed with everything about this restaurant. They have a very extensive menu with lots of different asian cuisines. Their portions are very big and the price is incredible, especially considering how much food you get. My mom also appreciated the $5 glasses of wine, noting that she never sees that anymore. The service is excellent, super friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The food is just amazing. We were more than satisfied with everything we ordered. This will for sure be my new go to asian spot in midtown, hands down! Just go, you will not regret it!

It's New Year's Day, and nothing is open, and it's only 7pm! Partied all night, slept all day; you know the drill! Bright lights and OPEN sign cutting into the night air. Yes! I already know what I want and the attendant deals with me as she pours water for people that are sitting in the restaurant! The ambience is nice, the mood is calm, my food is blazing hot, when I get it home! Pad Thai chicken hit the spot, every time. I wish they would put peanuts on it, but with all the allergic people, it's not worth the hassle. Great taste, texture, and heat! Good thing, I just live a fee blocks away! Don't forget your chopsticks!

I got the tom yum chicken soup and chicken pad see ew noodles and everything was excellent tasting and fresh. Service was great and the inside was nicely decorated. Prices were fair. I would love to come back next time I am in town.

Decided to check this place out. It is located in the downtown of Gainesville and they have a small parking lot reserved for the restaurant itself. We came here for lunch and decided to try their panang curry and pad see ew, which are two of the common Thai dishes. The Pad see ew was little too salty but ingredients were fresh. The panang curry on the other hand was a bit bland. For the price point, I think the place is a good Thai restaurant to consider checking out. Will come back to try more foods!

Had the spicy Thai basil friend rice, medium spicy. It wasn't very spicy it basilly. Some vegetables appeared fresh but also had what looked like frozen mixed peas, carrots and corn. Restaurant is dated but service was very fast.

I absolutely love tup tim thai! They might have had some questionable experiences or issues/news, but I personally have never had a bad or rude experience in the 10+ visits as a college student. The restaurant is quite clean and the servers are always nice (sometimes very busy). I love the tup tim sampler and always got the chicken drunken noodles (medium) and it hits the spot every time. The portions are huge and I almost always have leftovers. My friend has had some weird tasting tofu in her drunken noodles on a few of our visits, but overall still delicious. Though I haven't tried them, I also heard the thai tea and the mango sticky rice are a must for sweet treats.

It wasn't the absolute best sushi or Thai food I've ever had, but still really good! You get a good portion for the price. I liked that the pad thai was tangier than most places I've tried. I recommend going for hot if you're looking for some heat beyond just a little kick. I think they were understaffed when we went. The waitresses were amazing and doing their best, but the service and food came out a bit slower than what I would've liked. The ambiance is fine with ample seating. There is a small parking lot behind the restaurant, but it can fill up on a busy night so plan ahead.

My friends and I enjoyed our meals here! They were very tasty and just the right portion size. Not too bad of a price either, and they were very good about making substitutions! We did have to wait awhile for our salad appetizer, they must've forgotten about it. Our food did take a bit to come out as well, but they seemed busy. Staff were kind and helpful! Overall was happy with my experience.
